Heavy Combination (HC)

Want to upgrade your skills or change your career? Elite Truck & Car School help you move forward with a top-grade training where you learn to drive and qualify for your HC truck license.

This training has been developed for drivers who already hold Medium or Heavy Rigid Driver Licence and want to increase their skills and knowledge. Our training covers how to drive Heavy Rigid vehicles safely and professionally. For those wanting to operate a semi-trailer, for example in ‘truck and pig’ or ‘truck and dog’ combinations; this is essential. Elite Truck & Car School does not stipulate minimum or a maximum number of lessons. We will provide what is needed to ensure you are test ready.

For test purposes a HC vehicle could be a prime mover more than 15 tonne GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) with at least 3 axles and a semi-trailer with a minimum of two axles. Only with this qualification, you can drive a trailer of more than nine tonnes GVM.

Eligibility:

• To be eligible to ugrade to HC you must have held your MR or HR Licence for a period of 12 months.

Test Locations:

• Northside – Zillmere, Redcliffe, Strathpine & Caboolture
• Southside – Wynnum, Cleveland, Logan, Beenleigh & Ipswich

With an HC licence you are allowed to drive.
